Pete and I went out on our own today, YIKES! They really do not speak any English here and I got a lot of "no's" with a talk to the hand motion, ROFL. So stressful for me cause I have no patience for asking the same thing twice, thank god Pete's with me, hee hee hee.
We made it to the Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew on our own and had a great lunch in a coffee shop about 10 x 20 feet, a shoebox but great food.
They really do try hard to scam you but I'm two steps ahead of them, no scamming this Farang (foreigner). I love winding them up just to shoot them down, lol, my bad.
The Grand Palace was awesome and a must do. We even got to video the changing of the guards. Every little detail it double checked on the guard relieving the other, makes sure the uniform is perfect before they leave.
We took a taxi from downtown back to Dom & Clare's in rush hour traffic, 28km for 200 baht ($6.50) so cheap and so nice to be in an air con and out of the scorching heat.

So, how was the coffee? Was it expensive? Did they put anything in it for you (like liquor-based)?
Looks like fun. Do you look strange in a see of foreign peoples?
Oh the questions!!! :)
Miss ya.
coffee is strong but they love to put tons of sugar and condensed milk in it! Super sweet.
I stand out the most, lol
